Our program emphasizes the power of detoxing from old habits and rehabilitating from familiar environments, fostering spiritual wellness and inspiring meaningful change. Join us on an intimate exploration of another country, delving into its organic farms and eco-friendly resorts. This immersive experience combines a compacted edition of the C.A.R.E. program, seamlessly integrating agrotourism with spiritual rehabilitation. It's a comprehensive study abroad program designed to not only broaden your horizons but also facilitate personal growth and well-being that will better prepare you for integrating into your local and global communities. Application Requirements:
Must be of African ancestry. DNA tests provided to confirm and explore ancestry.
Must be between ages of 18-25 years old.
Must have a High School Diploma/GED.
Must show documentation for being a mental health consumer or consumer of supportive services.
Must show a referral from a Washington post-secondary school honoring your work-exchange for our Winter Wellness Exchange Program.

4-Week Program Pricing Includes:
Travel Booking: An AgroTourism Agent with our registered travel agency, LaDe Consulting, is available to book participant airfare, shuttle, lodging, and weekend excursions. We provide customer service and expert travel advice to ensure your travel plans and accommodations meet the C.A.R.E. Pledge standards.
Orientation: travel groups are shuttled to a beautiful Shared rental property for orientation, safety training, pre-assessment and pre-screenings, networking luncheon, and receive wellness program books and materials.
Week 1: This program kickstarts with its 9-day healing circle including a nutritional detox, journal, guided meditation, and yoga for beginners. The weekdays include workshops for Self-Advocacy, Nature Therapy with gardening projects, and Racial Socialization, a scheduled counseling session, and shared meals with our host for cultural exchange. The weekends include optional excursions or the freedom to explore the beautiful town and local farms independently.
Week 2: This week continues with group meditation and yoga for beginners. The weekdays include workshops for Self-Advocacy, Nature Therapy with gardening projects, and Racial Socialization, a scheduled counseling session, and shared meals with our host for cultural exchange. The weekends include optional excursions or the freedom to explore the beautiful town and local farms independently.
Week 3: This week continues with group meditation and yoga for beginners. The weekdays include workshops for Self-Advocacy, Nature Therapy with gardening projects, and Racial Socialization, a scheduled counseling session, and shared meals with our host for cultural exchange. The weekends include optional excursions or the freedom to explore the beautiful town and local farms independently.
Week 4: This week continues with group meditation and yoga for beginners. The weekdays wrap-up workshops for Self-Advocacy, Nature Therapy with gardening projects, Racial Socialization, a scheduled counseling session, and shared meals with our host for cultural exchange. We finalize our program with post-screenings, post-assessments, surveys, and a celebratory graduation dinner to close the circle.
Referral: graduates enjoy a celebratory dinner before being shuttled for their departure home. Each graduate who fully participates in the program, is eligible to receive credit from their participating college/university exchange program, and are referred to mentorship programs and community partners for additional resources and services.
Costs:
Can vary depending on the size of the cohort and personalized travel preferences and accommodations. The program may include up to 10 participants resulting in costs of $12,500 per participant, to cover all-inclusive package. Interested participants must initiate a Consultation with a referral from an accredited post-secondary school/university or contracted CBO/NGO. Sponsorships will be put towards your parent share of costs.

The Sponsor-A-Participant (SAP) Program is an opportunity to make a personal connection with participants who need financial assistance to attend camp. Your sponsorship gives them an opportunity to accept challenges in a manageable environment, build self-confidence, and gain a sense of independence.
